About this Exam
This exam is designed for IT, Telecommunications, and Networking professionals who have experience using Office Communications Server 2007 or Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2. Candidates should also have experience using and configuring Windows Server Active Directory and network infrastructure components that support the deployment and ongoing management of Office Communications Server 2007 versions.

* Design a voice solution that meets a customer’s requirements based on Microsoft Unified Communications Voice architecture and the open interoperability program.

* Determine which voice deployment scenario meets a customer’s requirements.

* Determine dialing, routing, and network requirements.

* Identify branch office and high availability requirements in terms of public switched telephone network (PSTN) connections.

* Define certificate, DNS, and key port requirements for all Office Communication Server 2007 server roles.

* Normalize phone numbers.

* Select a deployment topology to meet a customer’s remote access requirements.

Client Configuration

* Deploy and configure Office Communicator 2007 clients.

* Deploy and configure Microsoft Office Communicator Phone Edition devices.

* Configure Exchange Server 2007 enabling end users to access their voice mail.

* Work with the Deployment Validation Tool (DVT) to validate and analyze an Office Communications Server 2007 deployment.

* Work with the voice over IP (VoIP) VoIP Test Tool in a customer’s technical environment.

* Use the Office Communications Server 2007 Validation Wizard to emulate client and server situations.

* Analyze a site to ensure it is ready for VoIP deployment.

* Manage the software update server.

* Determine which tools to use for analyzing a given customer situation.

Troubleshooting

* Select the appropriate tools to proactively help with deployments.

* Perform the necessary steps when troubleshooting issues in an Office Communications Server 2007 environment.

* Choose the right troubleshooting tools to detect and analyze different problems in an Office Communications Server 2007 environment.

* Identify and correct problems given a customer scenario.

Conferencing

* Build and design an Office Communications Server 2007 conferencing solution to meet customer requirements.
